Deus ex machina

Flight

The exact moment
you disappeared
from the radar
a night sky stripped
from stars
when reflections stop
the banter between themselves.
I, just awake
one world still
open to the next.

Were you coming or going?

Chico. Such a great person and gentle soul. He was/is really like that and one of my fondest memories from the high school setting. It's all there and his promoter at that time was/is the father of my niece, Jasper Moon. He was a year ahead of me in High School and a mentor in Mr. Turner's art classes. I ran into him some time back at the Greyhound station in Tucson Arizona where my daughter also ran into her husband Lenzo, the father of my first grandchild Hassan. What really fascinates me about this artist is that he willed this for himself and he wills these things into action. It is almost as if he caused these things to happen but did he really? The mystery of these incidental amusements contains whole histories of the world. My favorites are the trees. What I would give to see one of Chico's trees and step in the pools that surround it.
