If CCD proves to be more than a one-time seasonal fluke, the job of beekeeping just got a lot harder. Pollination can’t be outsourced, although it isn’t too difficult to imagine fields full of exploited underclass laborers pollinating crops by Q-tip. Let’s hope we never have to go there.

I ran across this comment of yours while researching on the situation of prostitutes in japan. I can't help but find it very interesting. You speak as if the post and the commenters are all attacking caucasians and you are bitter about it. I have gone over the entire post and I find none of what you are presuming.
Seriously, you'd make comments such as "you people still think White Men abuse filipinas because they are white" - none of this was there. How odd... they only talked about a fact that there are cases that that happens. It's just like talking about domestic violence in a household whatever race they are. And what about this part of your comment that was just full of sarcasm : "And of course, we know women of filipino descent NEVER abuse other people now don't we? We are all quite smart" -- whoever comes across your post must be laughing. The entire blog post opinion about the conference never had a shade of racism against whites nor defending the filipino morality.
The author (who is Filipina) was actually concerned about the dilemma of the Filipino women and why do some sacrifice their dignity and morals for either money (by working as a prostitute in Japan) or permanent residency in the US (by picking just any American to marry and use to get a green card - anyone, thus permitting abuse to themselves).
Then there's "I do however enjoy your ability to mimic real social scientists in your ruse." for your ending. You must be very proud of yourself. Gladys (the author) really is a social scientist, hence the conference and the discussion and the gathering of feedback.
I do not know if you just scanned through the whole post and saw the words "Filipina" "prostitution" "domestic abuse" "white" and "sex trafficking" to come up with a comment such as that. You do have points to make but was made in a very prejudiced and assuming way, full of modus tollens reasoning.
I've read through your blog as well. You seem to be a very passionate person about certain things and social and environmental issues. I just hope that next time you post a comment, READ THOROUGHLY before joining the discussion AND leave your prejudices behind. Your credibility drops alarmingly if you say what you have to say without bias and a hot head. The world needs a lot more diplomacy and sensitivity.

What saddens me most is that you people still think White Men abuse filipinas because they are white and filipinas are what they are...without a doubt, the most moral individuals EVER placed on the planet.
You all pretty much are horrid people but luckily, there are so many GOOD filipinos and ones too that can see a statistical flaw.
Abuse is rampant everywhere because women rely on their CROTCH to provoke interest in their so-called fine opinions regarding a myriad of things from ethics to gender.
And of course, we know women of filipino descent NEVER abuse other people now don't we? We are all quite smart.

Get over it already. I don't really care about your raging against the system. In case you didn't notice, I'm a muslim and have far bigger concerns than your diabolical ruse to label white men as balding pediophiles. And there sure are alot of those (and rabbis and greeks and little non bald Canadians I am sure).
I am once again puzzled as to why a person posts anonymously to the comments here. I have no gun and if you address me politely, with your name and a greeting, I'd be more than happy to look into any issue you choose. This particular issue is one that resulted from a gang of Asian writers assuming too much and then sticking their feet collectively into their mouths and failing to behave like mature adults.
I tried but they were on an "ethnic rampage". Guess they missed the part about me marryng a camel jockey eh? Or the part about my many, many poems that are about NOTHING but racial inequality and oppression.
