Destroying the Past

http://www.uruknet.de/?s1=55&p=33919&s2=22

"The world’s oldest civilization is being destroyed before our eyes---its cities laid to waste, its people slaughtered by the tens of thousands. Saddam never could have dreamed of devastation on this scale. We’ve ruined everything. Truckloads of dead men are delivered to the Baghdad morgue every morning where they are processed and then dumped in mass graves in abandoned soccer fields or schoolyards. 20% of the population has either been internally displaced or forced to flee into Jordan and Syria. In Falluja alone, 65% of the buildings have been destroyed and tens of thousands of its citizens are left living in tent cities scattered across the desert--exposed to the elements, living on crusts of bread and foul water. The number of refugees has risen rapidly; 2 million in Amman, Damascus and Cairo. They go wherever they can to avoid the bombing and find safety or shelter."

"We are starving and brutalizing children while we extol the "America’s fallen" as if one life is more valuable than another. What sort of sick joke is this? This is nothing more than cultural narcissism served up by pseudo-patriots in the political establishment who are drunk on death and power. They worship violence like a god and they are pushing us all towards Armageddon."

"The same sinister forces which are inciting the sectarian violence are trying to remove all sense of kinship, brotherhood, nationalism and spirituality. Their objective is to "wipe the slate clean" and rebuild the entire society according to their neoliberal model."

If that is not genocide; then what is?

Hmm. I'd say yes, that is what genocide is and congratulations to all Americans. You are now the new Nazi Germany in the eyes of everyone else and even yourselves. It is a damn shame.
The up side of that is that you are not in your distress all alone. You have your long and much touted friends, the Israelis.

Afterall, haven't you told us over and over and over again how they are your friends?

They sure are and now the two of you are pretty much, the sum total of human evil for the future as far as the eye can see.

Never know though...maybe a few Americans will change the way things go. Maybe all those guys you sent over there will begin to revert to Islam and slam dunk your evil empire without the help of a single Arab person. You see, one of the "blowbacks" of war is that you get this incredible influx of things you didn't count on...like leprosy, like DU diseases, like amputees and like: New Muslims. Some of those guys no doubt understand what they've been through. And some of them are going to come calling on you and so will their children and their children's children.

Good luck with it.

The same sinister forces which are inciting the sectarian violence are trying to remove all sense of kinship, brotherhood, nationalism and spirituality. Their objective is to "wipe the slate clean" and rebuild the entire society according to their neoliberal model.

The US invasion has turned Iraq into a testing-ground for new theories on counterinsurgency. One by one the cities in the Sunni region have been surrounded with razor-wire; vital supplies have been cut off, check-points set up, snipers placed on rooftops, and the siege begins. Civilian neighborhoods are branded as "terrorist strongholds" and pounded with heavy artillery and aerial bombardment. We have declared war on some of the poorest people on earth—ghetto warfare with the most sophisticated high-tech weaponry ever invented.

Sometimes, it isn't the blog that gets you but the wayward comments of the posters. Afterall, there is a blog explosion going on and I suspect it is a means of allowing people an outlet rather than giving them a solution to the crisis humanity is embroiled in. All the same...you read some comments and have to chuckle and share it:

"Abbas has had so many Kosher Salamis shoved were the sun don't shine he about as used as an old whore can be."

I think forevermore, I'll see that guy and think of some old lady named Goldie.

Now. I like to believe I am a pretty good reader. I read this interesting article:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/israel/Story/0,,2107696,00.html

The article says:

Staff at the consulate said that they decided a photoshoot would be a good way of promoting Israel to young Americans.

(It should read: ..a good way of using sex to distract young men from the truth.)

David Dorfman, an adviser at the consulate in New York, told the Associated Press: "Males that age have no feeling towards Israel one way or another, and we view that as a problem, so we came up with an idea that would be appealing to them."

(Should read: Most young people in America are pretty stupid but have increasingly hostile views towards Israel....so we came up with the idea of giving them a boner so that they would associate Israel with sexual fulfillment.)

Israel is keen to sell itself as a western country with beaches and nightclubs rather than a country full of religious zealots which has been in a permanent state of emergency since its creation.

(Should read: Israel hates the fact that people know they are a criminal and rogue state hell bent on both the extermination and/or transfer of indigenous people from whom they stole an important piece of property and therefore Israel is becoming desperate enough to use female soldiers in ways that humiliate them. Israel has been in a permanent state of denial regarding its war crimes ever since it started committing them in 1947 and hence, are perpetually waiting for the victims of their criminal activity to demand justice in any way possible.)

Civilian casualties in Nahar al Barid, Lebanon aka "Cold River"

"Abu Harayra" by the way is a much hated "hadith" writer of the first century Hijra. Basically, he was a propagandist extraordinaire and was known to stroke his cat much the way Dr. Evil does in Austin Powers. Obviously it is not the guy's real name but a name designed to incite the Shia to violence.

Sick sh*t if you ask me.

The Lady at the Bank

These pieces should fly
instead of bark or for instance,
the future ought to open
into the right scenes
as being dispatched properly,
following a certain evolution.
The lady at the bank says
it is time to apply, to complete
forms for exile, igne combusta.
The embassies call each other
at home and say: flee, march, adapt.
Clerks drift to sleep
with the knowledge of long
summers in dreadful times,
even longer winters and nights

occupied in the worst dreams.
Fruits arrive on trees withered,
pickled in dust and weary tastes.
Rumours have it that garbage
is the first luxury of mankind
but few people know
until it is too late
and the rest are used to it.
You have to wonder
about the eyes sometimes.
Look hard at the old photographs
to find something there,
some little particle, reunions.
While counting blessings:
estimate the shipping weight,
resale value, insurance rates.
He apologizes by saying:
you are still a gypsy,
when will you get home?
These credentials in suitcases
labeled: hope, caution, trouble
are more than enough confidence.
There are still places
on the planet where we might
find a vacancy or try to wish for.

Oh Dear.

http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/article2643033.ece

But the long-term implications are escaping nobody. Climatologists see a growing volatility in the south-east's weather - today's drought coming close on the heels of devastating hurricanes two to three years ago. In the West, meanwhile, a growing body of scientific evidence suggests a movement towards a state of perpetual drought by the middle of this century. "The 1930s drought lasted less than a decade. This is something that could remain for 100 years," said Richard Seager a climatologist at Columbia University and lead researcher of a report published recently by the government's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

While some of this year's dry weather is cyclical - California actually had an unusually wet year last year, so many of the state's farmers still have plenty of water for their crops - some of it portends more permanent changes. In Arizona, the tall mountains in the southern Sonoran desert known as "sky islands" because they have been welcome refuges from the desert heat for millennia, have already shown unmistakable signs of change.

Predatory insects have started ravaging trees already weakened by record temperatures and fires over the past few years. Animal species such as frogs and red squirrels have been forced to move ever higher up the mountains in search of cooler temperatures, and are in danger of dying out altogether. Mount Lemmon, which rises above the city of Tucson, boasts the southernmost ski resort in the US, but has barely attracted any snow these past few years.
Abu Ghraib was much worse than anyone thought:

I learned from Taguba that the first wave of materials included descriptions of the sexual humiliation of a father with his son, who were both detainees. Several of these images, including one of an Iraqi woman detainee baring her breasts, have since surfaced; others have not. (Taguba’s report noted that photographs and videos were being held by the C.I.D. because of ongoing criminal investigations and their “extremely sensitive nature.”) Taguba said that he saw “a video of a male American soldier in uniform sodomizing a female detainee.” The video was not made public in any of the subsequent court proceedings, nor has there been any public government mention of it. Such images would have added an even more inflammatory element to the outcry over Abu Ghraib. “It’s bad enough that there were photographs of Arab men wearing women’s panties,” Taguba said.

The WorldNetDaily news website reported Muhammed Abdel-El, the spokesperson for the Hamas-allied Popular Resistance Committees group, as saying: "The CIA files we seized, which include documents, CDs, taped conversations, and videos, are more important that all the American weapons we obtained the last two days as we took over the traitor Fatah's positions."

Another Hamas official, quoted by WND, said the CIA documents they browsed so far contain "information about the collaboration between Fatah and the Israeli and American security organizations; CIA methods on how to prevent attacks, chase and follow after cells of Hamas and the Committees; plans about Fatah assassinations of members of Hamas and other organizations; and American studies on the security situation in Gaza."

The official claimed the documents also detailed CIA networks in other Arab countries, and "how to help beat Islamic allies of Hamas in other Arab countries, including Egypt and Jordan.

On Divine Right and Being Right

What does actual Divine Right mean? Look like? Who has it and how did they get it?

Very good question when you have a whole group of people who have somehow developed an opinion of themselves as being more intelligent than the rest of us poor sods (religious zealots and mostly dark skinned people) i.e. the Americans, Europeans, White People, et.al. Those people. Those people are indeed a fabulous bunch of individuals overall and have invented things, have developed well oiled machinery called "societies" and overall, have much better hygeine than the oppressed and impoverished are able to enjoy. It isn't hard to imagine how "they" got the idea in their head that they were somehow a "superior race". To make matters worse, some of the best people in those same social frameworks do have a sense of morality, ethics and global citizenship.

But.....are they capable of leading this often cited term: The New World Order? Who selected them to do this?

Darwin? Um...they (even the good members of Western society subconsciously believe this (i.e. the Myth of Natural Selection in which nature plays the role of God/Allah and is quite cruel and unthinking) and their efforts (good and bad) they attribute to their highly developed sense of their own goodness aka superiority i.e. it is in their collective conscious and cannot be ignored) seem to think so even though Darwin was simply a man with an opinion. Just an ordinary person with a partially good idea and it was partial. He knew nothing of genetics or the fact that genetics dictate not only adaptation but they pre-empt claims to actual "evolution". There is no such thing as evolution because if there was such a thing it would "pre-exist" in DNA and be empirically observable as "remnants" of the "revision" (known as evolutions).

So who gets Divine Right and how does one know what that actually looks like? History tells us that there have been numerous such claims to "Divine Right". To this day, a monarch sits in Buckingham Palace yet we ignore it as just the fantasy of the nostalgic British. And they pay dearly (in cold hard cash) to support this thing called Divine Right. Suffice it to say, with a history so full of such claimants to the "prize" called Divine Right, it is nearly impossible for a non-muslim individual to actually begin to understand the actual possessor of Divine Right and what that entails. This is largely due to the abuse of "Divine Right" as a man-made type of thing called monarchy, aristocracy, plutocracy, etc.

Of course, I am talking about the Ruler of the worlds and what has become to be known as that Ruler's "emmisaries". Let's call those people prophets instead of kings noting that in some circles the terms are interchangable (i.e. the Christians refer to Jesus Christ (SA) as "The King of Peace"). I assure you though that he was not a King, he was a prophet. And if you will, let us call the Divine Ruler Allah and imagine Allah to sit upon this much scoffed at "eternal throne" (per his own description of his status). "His" is used for lack of a better word to indicate the antecedent but note, Allah is 'gender free' and we do not have words to express the actual characteristics of the Creator.

I would like to interject here, my opinion about myself (as a model of a believer/fanatic/whatever) and evaluate that opinion in terms of what I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, is the belief "non believers" have about us Religious Zealots (of whatever persuasion). Yes....we or at least I, am well aware that to most people I appear to have no clue as to what their opinion is of me. In fact, the exact opposite is true. I know exactly what they think. It is they who do not know what I think. That makes me a teacher of relatively ignorant students. As a teacher or lets be semantic about it, a "professor" (in the land where teaching is not indoctrination but actual professing to believe in something). What good would it be to have teacher who does not actually believe in what they are teaching? Rest assured however that I completely understand how "out there" my opinions must seem to those who live in ignorance of actual religion, monotheism and specifically, Islam. I've suffered much derision due to the ignorance of others and muslims have shed blood because it. It is OUR clear reality even if it is not clear to nonmuslims.

Islam is the final part of the trilogy and the last word. There is no other sacred text in which the Creator ever said "I'm done now" except for the Quran. There could be any number of sacred texts (from the Vedas to the I Ching) but not a single one of them reveals that the author was in fact finished. Only the Quran says this and only the last prophet said that he himself was to be the last prophet ever designated to such a lofty HUMAN post.

Where does that leave the rest however? The Christians, the Jews, the Pagans, etc?

Not really my problem to be honest but to be fair, I do not envy them in their position. As for most "new" Christian sects like the Amish and Mormons, they actually follow a sacred text (the Old Testament) that they have adapted to fit their own ends. This fact is clear upon reading those texts like "The Book of Mormon" written by John Smith, the progenitor of the sect called Mormon. Therefore, these are merely more sects developed from the Christian sect where the Christian sect itself was not "authorized" either as a "distinct" religion from the one religion/philosophy of the creator (Islam, Hanifism, Monotheism rooted in the Abrahamic/Noahide traditions which are in turn sprouts from the most basic of ancestors (all human beings), the religion taught to Adam and Eve by the Creator before the "fall" into this curious reality we call life. Life which is a suspended state of being in which light and time form a construct that is visible to the given human senses (five).

Recently I was in conversation with an extremely intelligent man. Not really what you'd call a "fanatical" muslim...more what "one of you" would call, a "moderate". He was attempting to relate to me that he believes all other religions deserve to be heard, tolerated, etc. I looked at him and said, "But we are right Mohamed." He appeared to be quite shocked at this. How on earth could a muslim say such a thing? Yet....he knew I was right. We have (as muslims) a really rough road to traipse in this matter. How do you deal with the ignorant without alienating them to the cause?

We can't. It is as simple as that and a "fanatic" (me) has to choose one thing or the other: Go along with what non muslims say (and further their ignorance via failure to address their misconceptions) or stand up to it and refuse to back down.

In other words, INSIST that we are right. Afterall, no one ever won a battle by insisting that they were wrong you know. And there is a battle going on in the world whether "you" like it or not. "You" being anything from a good Catholic to a staunch ideological Athiest. Anything from the nicest of persons to the vilest of criminals. "You" are all in the same boat it seems. Perhaps that is why the Quran harps on about the "Ark" of Noah (Nuh, SA). You are either on this boat or you are not...it is a "you are with us or against us" type of thing.

It is however not a secret to muslims be they like me (a so-called 'fanatic') or like him (Mohamed, a so-called 'moderate')...that there is "no coercion" in religion. There just isn't and there is no such thing as a man made "Divine Right". It is, IN FACT, a contradiction of terms. Divine Right IS DIVINE. It isn't man made and it cannot be stolen nor can it be claimed as a prize or as booty of war. It is designated and owned by the Divine Ruler and the authority stemming from it is bequeathed by that ruler whom we muslims call "Allah" (because Allah told us Allah's name) and most other people call "God". Ironically, even the Divine Right itself is non-negotiable to those in possession of it. In other words, those who received it didn't ask for it but they knew they had a duty to protect it. They are known as the Shi'i and specifically, the Twelve designated custodians of the Quran and its historical contexts and tangents. They are basically long dead scholars. And this is exactly why the Shi''i are the number one targets of the Israeli-US-Zionist alliance (the Great Satans). If you think otherwise then YOU are insane and being led down the garden path by your very own friends and family, pastors and neighbors, broadcasters and movie stars.

Back to history though because we are making it. Humans tend to view history as a paradigm but not one that they have anything to do with. As if they are not themselves constructing their own parables of existence that might one day in the distant future be read as cautionary tales or as educational texts on "how not to repeat" history itself. This is no doubt why we muslims were instructed to worship Allah as if Allah is very near. Not inside but not outside either. We are taught to observe Allah by observing Allah's rules, the wonder of creation (as Allah's "manifestations" and the only way to "see" Allah is via his creation) and to never let our guard down. Not for one minute. And that is exactly what non muslims (and a large number of muslims too) are guilty of. Letting their guard down. Allowing themselves to construct fallacies and fantasies. Allowing themselves to take this world for "granted". Allowing ourselves to enjoy riches while so many are enjoying immense poverty, frustration, oppression and despair. And mind you, no muslim will tell you that we can eradicate those problems because we know that those problems are man made, not heaven sent. The only problems that are heaven sent are natural disasters and that is why EVEN insurance companies oftentimes do not cover what they call "Acts of God" i.e. it is an actual legal term (which reflect actual "divine" law and its consequences). These events are "sent" via the outcomes of the design itself and known/described by the designer due to his (Allah's) relationship to his own creation. Say this to a non believer however and they'll swear you are insane. They are so out of touch but I guess now that Global Warming is indeed upon us they better get on the ball and figure out that it does no one any good if only North America and Europe practice better environmental hygeine.

Non muslims, generally speaking, have grown so incompetent in these details that they don't even realize how much a part of their everyday lives the "language" of Allah actually is. And it is. Because the laws of Allah are naturally derivitives of the creation itself. How on earth do non muslims think it can be otherwise? I mean it is understandable that Athiest don't "get it" but how is it that humans who "say" they believe in "God" cannot recognize that there is only one Creator (if there were "many" then they would be at war with one another ala the Greek sanctimonies). Therefore, that one Creator only has one philosophy and it saturates everything that (sic) was created. The laws of that creation are both unwritten and written and are exactly IDENTICAL to one another. This is why there are "good people" in the world who are not anything close to being muslim and in fact, some Athiests are mighty damn fine people. "They" heard or understood the quality of the creation that is unwritten and silently agreed upon by every living soul. Every single one as much as evil is agreed upon by those whose inner inclinations are "towards" goodness or "towards" evil. A natural polarity and a kind of quarantine that separates the good from the evil people in the world.

What people (all of them) don't agree upon is Divine Right. Geez, most kids don't even listen to their parents anymore let alone "God". Even those who agree on what constitutes an "evil" act or a good one do not realize that they actually believe themselves to somehow be in possession of Divine Guidance merely because they don't murder, rape, pillage, smoke, drink, cuss, pick their nose or some other variable measure of "human goodness".

They could not be more wrong. Divine Right and the Right to be Right is assigned to certain people. It was given to them long ago. It is an actual human history and it is the underlying cause of ALL wars be they in Afghanistan or in Argentina. Be they wars of Social Democrats against Right Wingnut Fascists. Be they wars within an individual's mind.

Allah's statement about the whole issue and ruling is simply this:

"You" (the reader) will follow me WILLINGLY or UNWILLINGLY. In reality, we muslims have nothing to do with forcing anyone into our way of life or thinking. We muslims are simply people who do it (worship Allah) willingly. Non muslims are those who do it unwillingly but they do it all the same. How so? Via the consequences which do not vary and they do not comprehend our labels because they are "consequences" and not people. Consequences do not selectively choose not to punish muslims either. There is no 'get out of jail free card' to be had by anyone. The Quran points this out quite clearly when it says, "Do not look for ONE catastrophe, look for MANY". The "good old days" when Allah used to select one "model" community to make a point (and evacuate the virtuous prior to the catastrophe) are long over. Allah had the last session and it is called the Quran and it does not pretend to be "otherwise". It does not pretend to be "in competition" with any other 'philosophical' method. Imagine Allah debating with himself about his treatise on Buddhism. That would be not only ridiculous but outrageous. Even more outrageous than a man who is God questioning his own self when he was being crucified by saying, "Father, why have you forsaken me?" How on earth could "God" forsake himself? Ought to be obvious but amazingly enough...there are more Catholics and Christians than muslims to this day.

To make a long essay longer, to get to the point now. When Allah made his last proclamations, selected his last emmissary to the planet...he did one more thing.

He appointed a person who was to lead the religion until the end of "our" paradigm.

He chose an Imam at a place called Ghadeer and then said, "Now, I have perfected your religion for you." What did he mean? Did he mean he only perfected "Islam"?

Absolutely not. "Perfection" is not a quality of "parts". It is a quality that can only be assigned to a "whole". He perfected the whole darn process right down to the last detail of removing the "wild cards" called "prophets" and instead, appointed a human being to be the arbiter of a relatively unwieldy thing: the future of mankind without giving him the "wild card" which is the ability to defy logic by predicting the future and the ability to perform miracles. Allah clarified everything (in the Quran) that came before from the Vedas to Las Caux all the way into the future to include the last map of the genome because naturally, Allah knows all about this and all about the future. Furthermore, Allah stated that clearly when Allah openly related that the Quran would not be followed by anything else. It would suffice for the entire future i.e. for "all time". I have little doubt (none really) that in the future, the FUTURE (which will then be, the PAST), will prove to be even more detectable in the Quran than it already is. We just don't know it yet because we have more things about our planet yet to discover. About ourselves and about the cost of the shattering changes that are upon us all right now. And they are. They most definitely are.

And what else would you think a "Divine Right" is supposed to be about? It isn't about oil companies or Uninted Nations courtrooms. It is about mankind itself and how to recognize FACT from FICTION.

And this is the Key to Iraq.

And yes, this is all far worse than Vietnam. It is worse than twenty thousand such things.

A few things about the Sermon of Ghadeer in which actual Divine Right was established:

"There is no escaping our individual and collective complicity in this sad state of affairs.

One difference between what is happening in our country and the state-controlled media of the old Soviet Union, is that in the Soviet Union, most people were quite aware that what was being presented to them by their corrupt government as news was nothing but mind-warping propaganda. Many Americans have fallen so under the spell of the Bush regime’s criminal lies that they don’t even know they are being lied to. It is like we are living in a land of state-controlled zombies who think they are free citizens of a free country."

Well duh. I coulda told people this ten years ago and in fact I did. Fact is, most people don't want to know and are truly not interested in bettering the world because that involves real effort. And there is a way to combat mind control.

It is called Islam and it is learned by studying the Quran.

Time, as my mother in law always tell me.....doesn't wait for anyone. And one day, it will be too late to do anything about society let alone oneself.

So leave those who deny this Discourse to Me. We shall lead them step by step to (ruin) in a way they will not know.

Yet I will give them respite: Surely My plan is compact.

"The allegation that Iran had reversed a decade-long policy and was now supporting the Taliban, conveyed in a series of press articles quoting "senior officials" in recent weeks, is related to a broader effort by officials aligned with US Vice President Dick Cheney to portray Iran as supporting Sunni insurgents, including al-Qaeda, to defeat the United States in both Iraq and Afghanistan."

Oh hahaha, haha er...um...hahaha. Oh I'm so sorry. I am a bit choked up about that one.

REVERSED A DECADE LONG POLICY? Oh, hahahaha...dear me. That one is sure a good one.

The Shi'i / Sunni conflict started when the prophet Mohamed (SA) lay dying and three men met together to steal the Kaliphate from the designated owner of it. They managed to steal the "office" but as we muslims all know (and it is being made more clear day by day) that they could not steal the intelligence, the divine guidance nor the fellowship of truth from those who possessed it as much then as they do now. In other words, this "policy" is over 1400 LUNAR YEARS young. Oh brother. What complete morons.

Decade long "policy". That could only be stated by a person or a people who have absolutely no comprehension of what "Faith" in the Creator of the Worlds actually means to those of us (muslims) who do. And perhaps a few other non muslims who actually believe in the validity of Islam but cannot revert to being muslims due to issues relating to their ethnicity and/or culture and fear of ostracism from same.

The Aspiritations of a Druze Hair Stylist

Where is God said

Dear So and So,

Sounds like you are having a great time shaking up the
stones and wood. The best description of people is
that of stones and wood...so good that you find it in
the Quran in several places. Has to do with the by
products of human physical cellular deterioration.

"Qul: Koonoo hajaratayn wa hadeeda"....which means
literally: Say! Be you stones or iron....(implied, I,
the Creator will resurrect you.)

And you are busy resurrecting yourself.

As for this place...it is a bleak reality and
prognosis right now. Up in Nahar Barid (in English
that means "Cold River")
the bombs are still
eradicating the domiciles of the refugees. It will be
quite the game trying to restore that dump to
habitable levels once again...considering the number
of townships and suburbs that were totally destroyed
by Israel last year. The US is trying to force the
Lebanese into a civil war. They just don't give up
all that easily. Hezbollah however refuses to
lift a hand against the citizens of this country and
as long as they remain steadfast in that then there
won't be a war...there will just be more of this
miserable kind of Doctor's Waiting Room motion in
which people are waiting for something and waiting and
waiting and waiting. As far as the south
however...well. The Al Q people have tried to stir up
trouble down there in Naqoura (a town specializing in
UN occupation that sits right on the Israeli border on
the Mediterranean Sea). And as for the villages down
there...well the "watchers" are everywhere...you never
know who is in the group as they are ordinary people
who have joined up with the citizen's army. We saw
(redacted). We also saw some other
things but I cannot go into detail on that point.
Suffice it to say though that the Mossad (Al Qaeda in
Lebanon as it is formally known
) is being monitored
constantly down there and the Hez knows far more than
it ever discloses about the UN soldiers who are on the
take and the Al Q who are meddling in internal affairs
here. So there is a certain level of security but I
would not be completely surprised if they stage one of
their famous bomb outs in a Shi'i mosque down there in
the coming months or days. It is bound to happen you
know...or maybe not. We can only hope that it
doesn't. The velvet revolution was in play when my
daughter went to the American Community School
graduation shindig two weeks ago (it is subsidized by
the parent organization in "New York")....they had the
US ambassador give the keynote address. They work on
the kids you know...show them handbooks about
prosperity and success...all the while they are paying
to gun down the innocent elsewhere and sometimes the
guilty. They play both sides...slaughtering the
soldiers and then arming the soldiers to fight the
slaughterers. No telling what this plan wreaks of but
no doubt, the UN 'tribunal' will never investigate
THIS slaughter they've perpetrated via their labyrinth
of war parties and monies.

I can say though without any reservation now, that our
decision to take a hiatus from here was correct.
Things are tough here and the people on the street are
angry, tired, poor and not so very humble anymore
about taking a few bucks from Uncle Sam to do the
dirty. To collaborate. But not the Shi'i who
overall...believe that Jesus Christ (SA) is about to
make an entrance alongside the Mahdi. Yes. They do
think that even though we do not know the time we are
mostly convinced that it is soon. How soon?
Well...Jesus said he'd be back soon and that was two
thousand years ago so your guess is as good as ours.
I, myself think there is much more suffering to endure
prior to the return. It just isn't bad enough yet and
each day is slowly a bit worse and sometimes rapidly a
bit worse...but never better. Never really better.

It ought to give me the inspiration to write a lot
about things but it doesn't. It isn't right really to
do too much of that in my estimation and therefore, my
mind does not operate on the poetical apparatus. It
just closes up and says keep quiet.

Electricity is still being rationed and even more
seriously so. We get about eight hours of it a day
and so we have to pay for a service that gives you
enough amps to light a few lights and occassionally
enough to run the color TV and computer. Most days
though it is only enough to light the house and the
small apartment of the gateman.

The weather is Bomb-Cloudy.

When you get enough of those lit you get this
pall that just hangs around and pretends to be a rain
system. Summer in Beirut is usually quite blue and
shiny but most days now are just a dull gray that
clears a bit by noon and then returns by nightfall.
It is compounded by the dust from the rubble and
reconstruction which is in slow but full motion. On
the bright side, the pall keeps the daytime
temperatures a little lower.

Yours Truly,

Amen

The USS Liberty.

Maybe one day these Americans will get their day in court. One day when Israel is labeled the entire axis of evil in the modern world and sanctioned by the civilized world until it disappears off the map forever.

1. That on June 8, 1967, after eight hours of aerial surveillance, Israel launched a two-hour air and naval attack against USS Liberty, the world's most sophisticated intelligence ship, inflicting 34 dead and 173 wounded American servicemen (a casualty rate of 70 percent, in a crew of 294);

2. That the Israeli air attack lasted approximately 25 minutes, during which time unmarked Israeli aircraft dropped napalm canisters on USS Liberty's bridge and fired 30mm cannons and rockets into our ship, causing 821 holes, more than 100 of which were rocket-size; survivors estimate 30 or more sorties were flown over the ship by a minimum of 12 attacking Israeli planes which were jamming all five American emergency radio channels;

3. That the torpedo boat attack involved not only the firing of torpedoes, but the machine-gunning of Liberty's firefighters and stretcher-bearers as they struggled to save their ship and crew; the Israeli torpedo boats later returned to machine-gun at close range three of the Liberty's life rafts that had been lowered into the water by survivors to rescue the most seriously wounded;

4. That there is compelling evidence that Israel's attack was a deliberate attempt to destroy an American ship and kill her entire crew; evidence of such intent is supported by statements from Secretary of State Dean Rusk, Undersecretary of State George Ball, former CIA Director Richard Helms, former NSA Directors Lt. Gen. William Odom, USA (Ret.), Adm. Bobby Ray Inman, USN (Ret.), and Marshal Carter; former NSA deputy directors Oliver Kirby and Maj. Gen. John Morrison, USAF (Ret.); and former Ambassador Dwight Porter, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon in 1967;

5. That in attacking USS Liberty, Israel committed acts of murder against American servicemen and an act of war against the United States;

6. That fearing conflict with Israel, the White House deliberately prevented the U.S. Navy from coming to the defense of USS Liberty by recalling Sixth Fleet military rescue support while the ship was under attack; evidence of the recall of rescue aircraft is supported by statements of Capt. Joe Tully, Commanding Officer of the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga, and Rear Admiral Lawrence Geis, the Sixth Fleet carrier division commander, at the time of the attack; never before in American naval history has a rescue mission been cancelled when an American ship was under attack;

7. That although Liberty was saved from almost certain destruction through the heroic efforts of the ship's captain, William L. McGonagle (MOH), and his brave crew, surviving crewmembers were later threatened with "court-martial, imprisonment or worse" if they exposed the truth; and were abandoned by their own government;

8. That due to the influence of Israel's powerful supporters in the United States, the White House deliberately covered up the facts of this attack from the American people;

9. That due to continuing pressure by the pro-Israel lobby in the United States, this attack remains the only serious naval incident that has never been thoroughly investigated by Congress; to this day, no surviving crewmember has been permitted to officially and publicly testify about the attack;

10. That there has been an official cover-up without precedent in American naval history; the existence of such a cover-up is now supported by statements of Rear Adm. Merlin Staring, USN (Ret.), former Judge Advocate General of the Navy; and Capt. Ward Boston, USN, (Ret.), the chief counsel to the Navy's 1967 Court of Inquiry of Liberty attack;

11. That the truth about Israel's attack and subsequent White House cover-up continues to be officially concealed from the American people to the present day and is a national disgrace;

12. That a danger to our national security exists whenever our elected officials are willing to subordinate American interests to those of any foreign nation, and specifically are unwilling to challenge Israel's interests when they conflict with American interests; this policy, evidenced by the failure to defend USS Liberty and the subsequent official cover-up of the Israeli attack, endangers the safety of Americans and the security of the United States.

The Stench of Israel
Pervades the Middle East

Stinky. Really foul odors. Man it is bad. Death to Israel? Oh no, of course not. We Have To Love these so-called "Jews". Why? Because they told everyone on the entire effing planet that to not love the so-called "Jews" was to be an apostate to humanity itself. Read on, by all means. Read about what these malodorous humans have done:

http://www.unobserver.com/index.php?pagina=layout5.php&id=3564&blz=1

In his country, Mehlis has been rebuked for unethical and unprofessional practices. According to Germany's Junge Welt magazine, former UN investigator Detlev Mehlis received a $10m USD slush fund to rig the UNIIIC outcome against Syria. An inquiry by German public TV Zweites Deutsche Fernsehen found that Mehlis had relied on CIA, MI6 and Mossad intelligence in prior investigations, namely the Berlin Disco bombing of the 1980s where Mehlis knowingly used testimony supplied by Arab Mossad agent Mohammad Al Amayra in his case against Libya. Mehlis also relied on NSA intercepts of fake telephone calls that former Mossad officer Victor Ostrovsky revealed were made by Mossad agents, posing as Arab terrorists. The phone calls proved Libyan guilt and justified America's bombing of Libya.

In the Hariri case, German critics claimed "the choice of Mehlis was done because of his links to the German, American, French and Israeli intelligence agencies". Lebanese news source libnen.com, and Le Figaro confirmed that the British MI6 and Mossad have been supplying much of the UN Commission's intelligence.

When Mehlis resigned in disgrace, the UN hired Belgian prosecutor Serge Brammertz at Mehlis' recommendation - but Brammertz could also be vulnerable to US pressure if he assembles a verdict not to America's liking. Under Belgium's Universal Competence Law, Belgian legislators charged US Centcom General Tommy Franks, President George W Bush, VP Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Colin Powell with war crimes in Iraq. In 2003, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld threatened to pull NATO headquarters out of Belgium if the prosecutions commenced. Shortly after, the Universal Competence Law was dropped.

Ah well. No effing wonder and now that the US/Zionist's cuckold Fuad Siniora has invited the corrupt and US/ZIONIST controlled UN into the country's justice system (and received their slimy weapons)...his squirmy little partner, Saad Hariri (the son of the poor murdered Rafik Hariri) engineers a made for TV mini-war in Tripoli, complete with US weapons supplied over the past few days in order to re-establish this failed Prime Minister as an actual leader. That little pip squeak (Siniora) needs all the help he can get to redeem himself after his tearful performances last year in front of the international press. Where was the US then Fuad?

Using the Salvador Option against Syria had first been raised by Newsweek and the London Times in January, 2005. After Hariri's death, on February 14, Hariri's long-time personal advisor Mustafa Al Naser said: "The assassination of Hariri is the Israeli Mossad's job, aimed at creating political tension in Lebanon." (Asia Times 2/17/05) The Sunday Herald of Scotland hinted at a US role. "With controversial diplomat John Negroponte installed as the all-powerful Director of National Intelligence, is the US about to switch from invasions to covert operations and dirty tricks? The assassination of the former Lebanese PM has aroused suspicions." (Sunday Herald 2/20/05)

Fred Burton, Vice President of counter-terrorism at Stratfor, was also suspicious. Burton, who spent over 20 years as a counter-terrorism expert at the US State Department and the Secret Service, has investigated most terror attacks against US Embassies abroad, as well as the first World Trade Center bombing, and the murder of Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin. Stratfor's Burton also specialized in Syrian terror operations and methods. He rejected both Syria and Hezbollah as the perpetrators behind the Hariri killing. "Syria lacks the finesse", and the "complex nature" of the remote-control technology needed to implement "the surgical nature of the charge" are beyond their capacity, he insisted. "This is not their style... and Hezbollah would not have this capability." (UPI 6/27/05)

Trish Schuh was a co-founder of the Military Families Support Network and is a member of Military Reporters and Editors, and the United Nations Correspondents Association. She has lived and studied in Lebanon and Syria. This the third piece in a three part series on the attempted overthrow of Syria.

The only problem with any of the facts in this well researched piece( from my extensive and ongoing research into the details of this crime wave which started with the assassination (not mentioned in the article) of Elie Hobeika*). Hobeika was the overseerer of the Sabra and Shatilla massacres who later on was in cahoots with both Hariri and Jumblatt (pro US Druze and contemptible all around scumbag). They were hoping to establish a militia in our neighborhood after the Syrians departed (voluntarily and prior to the Hariri debacle). Hobeika was also slated to testify against Ariel Sharon at the Hague but met an untimely death as he had literally turned against his handlers in Lebanon and most likely would have outed a number of them including Hariri and Jumblatt. His murder had NOTHING to do with his testimony against Sharon and his absence from the proceedings affected nothing.

As well, the article mentions a poor little fellow known as Abou Addas (whom I wrote about last year in the piece titled "Where is Mr. "Mr. Abou Addas". My thinking is that he was simply a decoy who was utilized to throw off the scent. He wasn't a suicide bomber and disappeared WEEKS before the assassination after telephoning his family and appearing quite distressed about something. Poor Mr. "Mr. Abou Addas".

*The assassination of former militia warlord and postwar cabinet minister Elie Hobeika on January 24 will probably remain a riveting mystery for the foreseeable future. The Lebanese government's track record in investigating the killings of prominent political figures is dismal and Hobeika is likely to join a long list of assassinated Lebanese public figures, such as Sunni Grand Mufti Hassan Khalid (1989) and President Rene Mouawad (1989), whose assassins have never been officially identified.

??Israeli Targeted Assassination? Airstrike? Why not. Absolutely. Who would notice? Just like the WTC, when everyone is looking up they blow up the base of the buildings. In this case, no one would notice another Israeli violation of airspace and in the commotion that followed, no one is looking up.

I've seen lots of bomb sites you know. I also know a tad bit about physics. Missiles make craters and car bombs do not. It is that simple.

The Honey Moon

Beirut:

Tell me this
is the last adventure
and I'll go home, stop
bothering God for information
about you. I'll stop spying
through your candles and dirty
mists. I married not a man
but the whole country, wedded
rivers while marching
across stones, my innocence
lost on a flight from which
I stepped into a sea
of armies and posters.
My teeth got ground into paste,
a dowry wasted on one hiding
place after another looking
for the auction of the future
where the last bidder is death.

I gave birth to mementos and distress
near bodies of chalk

sucked naked by gravity.
Our children dragged
baggage and
dread
through the streets
as the news catered
our bitterest meals.

We never leave and never arrive,
airport to airport with a cold bravado
saying the strangest things.
I've never seen Lebanon so solemn. It is as if everyone is either on their way to a funeral or on their way home from one. It is the same kind of feeling that one has just prior to taking a long journey.

Inflation is unbelievable. Shaving cream costs six dollars and cat food is cost prohibitive but Carmen still gets hers. Tyson disappeared three weeks ago in the slum and we imagined her to be struggling to stay alive near one of the many butcher shops but lo! she returned home yesterday to her loving adoptive owners and they gave my old cat a good meal and a de-lousing.

There is such a terrible sadness here. The air is still full of a toxic smell and resin.

It is truly healing to reconnoiter with our old stuff and people. It feels like the last day of school just prior to getting a report card. Fifth grade, my first F and I wanted to toss it into the mossy water in the ditch but I just couldn't do it.

Where to toss this Lebanon?

R:

We are all fine and good. Things are very tense still...well who expects more than that.

Here are more parts to the story. The group Fatah al Islam is not only supported by Hariri, but last month when they went to Hariri's bank to withdraw their usual "salary", they weren't given anything and so they turned around and robbed the bank, took refuge in the camp and then slaughtered the army which guards the entrance/exit of all the camps in Lebanon (which was part of the US deal to disarm the PLO many years ago i.e. that they would be "supervised" by guarding but forbidden from entering).

So there you go. I don't know exactly what the US has to do with this other than it provides an excellent opportunity to push for the "settlement" of the Pals here in Lebanon. Problem is, there is no where to settle them and no resources to do it with. Oh man what a mess.

Whatever. We are just going to lay low though and wait and watch. Down here in the South it is very stable but that can change rather quickly. They are reporting that an Al Q group posted a threat to the Lebanese Army and the Christians here which means that if it is a valid video, Al Q plans to start suicide missions here in the Levant.

What to do? The food is, as you remember it, fabulous. We had okra stew yesterday and the day before we roasted meat and kafta outside on the grill. Every morning it is the usual cheeses, eggs, olives and tea.

The house is almost completely repaired but needs to be patched and painted on the outside where the shells laid it wide open. I am really awestruck at what Umi did. Mel tells me that the combined donations to the Southern Lebanese people from Iran/Hezbollah exceeded 1.5 billion USD. Wow.

Bint Jubail is in ruins as are many towns. Here in Haris, the old town square is flattened and gone and all the poor who lived there displaced to surrounding villages. The bridges on the highways are rapidly being repaired but a couple of them were massive structures and will require years and mucho dinero to replace.

I wonder, when will the US and Israel be billed for this war crime? What scum.

(Now...I will post that letter on the blog because I am on a very slow server and if I want to write for the blog I might lose it and the server might go down...hope you don't mind.)

All our love and don't worry
The Crush

On the back pages of the moon
men's voices come and go
before wars and after
card games until dawn
combines the silences.
The power is on again,
off again. Here
there is trust and there
is no place to hide
the occasional laughter
of the nervous but under
the quiet shelves
in a hundred pieces,
another hundred wires;
those bricks and windows
where there are homes of wonder
and assault - the places
that give up shade
to cover the brave
and coward alike
in ruins and prayers now
crowned with the ragged
families, the what's-left-over
who whisper: repair and brace.

How To Read Arabic

...trying to keep it simple for those who really don't know a thing about the wars they are involved in.

http://news.independent.co.uk/fisk/article2578478.ece (Robert Fisk)

"No wonder that in all the Palestinian camps of Lebanon yesterday, they were protesting the "massacre" at Nahr el-Bared with gunfire and burning tyres."

1. "Militants" rounded up by Lebanese forces and released by Saad Hariri, pro Saudi/US drug addict and best friend of oil tycoon Sudairi Seven tribal members.

2. "Militants" sneak up on Lebanese Army personnel outside of Palestinian camp in northern Lebanon, slitting the throats of the unsuspecting young men.

3. Lebanese Army retaliates without thinking, shells numerous homes indiscriminately killing and wounding a score of civilians.

4. "Terrorist" leader Sayed Hassan Nasrallah remains silent for three days while collecting facts.

5. "Terrorist" anti US/anti Israel leader gives public address advising the pro US Prime Minister Fuad Siniora to NOT ATTACK Palestinians as they have nothing to do with the "shady" militant group called Fatah Al-Islam which is linked to pro US/pro Saudi "Son of Sam" minister Saad Hariri (see above for character analysis). Attacking the camps now with the SIX loads of weapons on their way from the US will result in a country wide meltdown throughout the Palestinian camps and hence, to another Lebanese Civil War (US/Israeli GOAL NUMERO UNO RIGHT NOW TO DEFLECT ATTENTION FROM THE FAILURE OF THE ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER OLMERT AND THE FAILURE OF THE US WAR AGAINST SO CALLED TERRORISM (which the US/Israel have 'masterminded' in order to steal oil, peddle false religious influence throughout the known world).

6. "Terrorist" leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (May Allah be pleased with him for an ever) noted in his speech this evening that it was truly "odd" that the US did not help Lebanon defend itself from the bastards in Israel last year but for some reason today, they are sending enough weaponry to conduct......drum roll please...another Israeli proxy war against the Palestinians.

We all need to pray now that the Lebanese morons SINIORA AND SAAD THE POTHEAD HARIRI....Listen to Nasrallah. And for that matter...this time...those two mofos are on their own. Tripoli is a very long way from down here and Hezbollah will not lift a finger to help any of them as they attack each other.

Truly sad that the only person who makes ANY SENSE whatsoever is labeled a terrorist by the media in the former United States of America.

Oh this one is good! Fort Huachuca a training pit for mental and physical abusers!

In 2001, the name of the Fort Benning school was changed to Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation. However, the priests still call the facility School of the Americas, something they constantly did at the Tucson meeting, because they do not believe there has been any change in the instructional course at the Georgia installation.

Both men used the death of Alyssa Peterson, an Army specialist from Flagstaff, as a rally point for their anti-torture crusade. Her suicide was the act of a woman who could not bear the responsibility of being an interrogator in Iraq, they said.“The Army put her in a program that taught her how to torture,” Vitale said.

According to a March 11 article in The Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff, the 27-year-old Peterson killed herself in Tel Afar, Iraq, on Sept. 15, 2003. The article about the soldier’s death was based on an investigative report the newspaper obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

You'd have to be delusional or drunk to miss the trend in the "culture of fear". In related news, an old woman collapses in a hospital emergency room and is ignored. Only a few weeks after the ignorance of an insane student at Virginia Tech led to the massacre of tens of innocent individuals.

Americans are in a state of CHRONIC DENIAL. The facts that they deny will DESTROY not only their economy but the very foundations of so called "freedom". Please note the comments of "thirsty" to verify this tendency to desire to shift blame to victims ALL over the world.

I blame this directly on the ZioCrazy state of Israel whose "existential" nonending crisis has had to be obscured and the relationship of "them" to the "land" has had to be MYSTIFIED and CODIFIED. This has left Americans (the biggest target of the deception) unable to make decisions in a variety of situations including situations when their president was caught inserting a cigar into the vagina of one of his aids, a president who stole an election, various assassinations like Vince Foster and William Cooper, on and on like that.

Wake up from your slumber is right.

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-king20may20,0,6057993.story?

Turning to Rodriguez, the nurse said, "You have already been seen, and there is nothing we can do," according to a report by the county office of public safety, which provides security at the hospital.Parked in the emergency room lobby in a wheelchair after police left, she fell to the floor. She lay on the linoleum, writhing in pain, for 45 minutes, as staffers worked at their desks and numerous patients looked on.Aside from one patient who briefly checked on her condition, no one helped her. A janitor cleaned the floor around her as if she were a piece of furniture. A closed-circuit camera captured everyone's apparent indifference.Arriving to find Rodriguez on the floor, her boyfriend unsuccessfully tried to enlist help from the medical staff and county police — even a 911 dispatcher, who balked at sending rescuers to a hospital.

I'd say that is more than a handful of "innocent" mistakes. The first journalistic piece I ever had published as an adult (didn't know that about me now did you?) was about a man drowning at Canyon Lake, waving his arms and begging for help and people on the dinghy just stood there and insisted to themselves and each other that he was just fine. That article was published by a "democratic" journal just after 9/11 and the article itself was circulated by email to thousands of people. Some of them contacted me with praise and some, with death threats.

I knew back then that 9/11 was a false flag but because I am a muslim, I had to keep my mouth shut.

No more.

America attacked itself in order to steal approximately 100 years worth of oil in Iraq.

Watching Men Drown
April 23, 2002
By Maggie Porter

What's going on here? I wake up and go to sleep each and every night with a sense of dread. Never mind the fact that I've seen bombs, heard the thunder of shells in the early morning hours, landing a short distance from my home in Southern Lebanon. Never mind all that. Never mind that during my summer vacation in 1993 I was made into a refugee by Israeli gunships and bombs. Never mind that I keep a piece of shrapnel in my philodendron, the piece that almost took my daughter's life. All that was just the prelude. It's as if I have always known this was coming to me. Something like fate, something that brought me to live in the Middle East as opposed to Kitt or Lisa or Brenda, my childhood pals. Why me?

I want to believe that I am someone who can make a difference. I cherish this silly thought and post endless streams of rhetoric and argument on message boards hoping that somewhere out there, someone who really can make a difference will see my words and do something. I realize now, have come to the stunning conclusion that this is utter nonsense. I realize that this is nothing more than a coping strategy that I employ in order to get hold of some really powerful circumstances and emotions, to control them.

I have lived in Saudi Arabia for ten years now. My husband is from Lebanon, my children are part Arab. What does this make me? From what I see in the media, if I were to return to the US, we would be under constant scrutiny and my children might one day, face belligerent discrimination. It's like overnight, I've become an African American, only I am the same color.

When the WTC was hit, my first thoughts were, "If the Arabs didn't do this, certainly they will be blamed." I stocked up on rice, beans, sugar.

Let's go back a little though. Two weeks before the attack, I had literally given up on any improvement in the situation in Palestine. I only began educating myself regarding their plight in 1999 or so. It became quite clear to me, two weeks before WTC, that the situation was hopeless, on all sides. I decided to stop reading the news about Palestine.

I won't lie to you and say that I support the State of Israel. Like most Americans however, I never really had a handle on Palestine or the formation of the Israeli state. I believed what I'd been told, that those people had been fighting for 2,000 years, that it was an 'unsolveable' situation. As well, even though my husband is from Lebanon, I never understood that war either. Did anyone? It was known in the mainstream media as the Lebanese Civil War. I know now how dreadfully mislabelled it was.

The truth is, it was a Proxy War between Palestine and Israel. It had nothing whatsoever to do with Lebanese people, only they were drawn into it against their will. I remember many of our Lebanese friends back in college complaining, "Everyone brings their trouble into Lebanon." I had not idea what they meant, perhaps I thought it a case of collective scapegoating. Back in those days, my husband was a real demon. I realize now the sense of guilt he felt when he saw countless Lebanese killed in mortar attacks, car bombs, assassination attempts. Now, it all makes sense.

What really makes me angry is the fact that people still accept these simple lies about a country, one that out of all the Arab countries, has demonstrated a resolve and solidarity never before witnessed in the dictatorial world of the ME, where puppet regimes and weapons of mass destruction are the norm. What does Lebanon get? It gets labelled as a terrorist nation. Why? Because, even without US dollars and US weapons, they were able to beat the oppressor.

The oppressor that employed Lebanese citizens, even coerced them, plying them with jobs in Israel or threats of exile from their villages, so that they would torture other Lebanese citizens in the name of security for the State of Israel. A state that is based on the beliefs of one religious group to the exclusion of the indigenous Palestinian population. Israel destroyed Lebanese infrastructure over and over and over. I can't tell you how many nights I've had to cook by candlelight or how many huge pots of water I've had to boil in order to take a warm bath or bathe my children. These repeated destructions mind you, are war crimes.

I am tired now. What tires me more than anything is the fact that many, many Americans confuse the WTC attack with Palestine. The same way the Lebanese Civil War was portrayed as a civil war as opposed to Israel's Proxy War against Palestine. I talk to alot of Saudis about WTC. I will confess, very few people here believe Osama did it. Unfortunately, Americans translate that to mean that they indeed support Osama if he did it.

What is clear is that Americans, average people like you and me, have lost their ability to reason. Either that or American Nationalistic fervor is morphing into fascism. I prefer to think the former as opposed to the latter. I am comforted that so many people are marching in Washington. That so many people are trying to report the news. I remind myself of an article I read recently about Nero, the one who fiddled while Rome burned. The evidence suggests he didn't burn Rome at all! Lo! Yet we still associate his name with one of the worst acts of state terror in written history. Go figure.

Did Osama do it? Who knows, perhaps we will never know. If he did, then he has hurt Islam more than any other muslim in history. With that in mind, realize he cannot be considered a muslim. I personally, do not feel anything has been proven. Indeed, much evidence to the contrary points at a much wider conspiracy than our work-a-day minds can process. We seemingly live in a state of denial.

I remember a story about a man and a group of his friends that went swimming at Canyon Lake in Phoenix, Arizona some years back. Around 20 of them stood calmly on a boat as the man waved his arms frantically in the water until he drowned, right there in full view of his good friends. No one wanted to believe that someone could drown while they looked on.
Today I am making these dumb things speak to you (i.e. my suggestive ideas and deep musings etc.) which are full of descriptive power. The opinion of the person who abandons me may get astray. I have never doubted in the truth since it has been shown to me. Musa (Moses) did not entertain fear for his own self. Rather he apprehended mastery of the ignorant and away of deviation. Today we stand on the cross-roads of truth and untruth. The one who is sure of getting water feels no thirst. - Ali Abi Taleb, may Allah be delighted with his face.

US Behind Latest Violence in Lebanon...of course. And they also were behind the "collapse" of the World Trade Center. Those who do not know that or do not accept that are psychologically unbalanced (that would be you "thirsty" aka anonymous). Idiot.

http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Hersh_Bush_arranged_support_for_militants_0522.html

Last March, Hersh reported that American policy in the Middle East had shifted to opposing Iran, Syria, and their Shia allies at any cost, even if it meant backing hardline Sunni jihadists.

A key element of this policy shift was an agreement among Vice President Dick Cheney, Deputy National Security Advisor Elliot Abrams, and Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the Saudi national security adviser, whereby the Saudis would covertly fund the Sunni Fatah al-Islam in Lebanon as a counterweight to the Shia Hezbollah.

In an effort to rally French Gentiles against French Muslims, France’s new president Sarkozy is taking instructions from Washington.

This weekend there was supposed to be a three-day festival to celebrate American music and culture. It was to be held in the Parc St Cloud on the outskirts of Paris, and was expected to attract 20,000 visitors.

The festival was called off after officials claimed to have received “death threats from an anti-US group claiming links to al-Qaida.”

Who supposedly issued the “death threats”?

Who else?

Live From Beirut

Almost a whole year has passed. There's a new gas station in the lot where Majnouna used to traipse around with her puppies. The beauty salon is still taking care of the glamourous side of the people, there are hopeful hairdos all over and the sea doesn't seem to change color any more...it is the color of old dishwater.

It is hard to imagine that there is a small conflict going on less than 50 kilometers away from us. People are much more cautious in who they talk to and how. It is the only sign that anything is amiss as this is all quite normal for the Lebanese and they all know how to mind their own business when they have to. They cannot trust anyone really.

I wish I could tell you what this small conflict is about but I can't. It is incomprehensible really and has all the earmarks of a US/Mossad black op. As is the usual...those morons never give up and find ample numbers of desperate people willing to shoot a gun or support some unknown cause.

It looks like it is going to be a normal visit afterall.

What About Mars?

No more problems says the package
the cure came in, no more
warning labels and the price tag
no longer legible. It began
with flashy children and fast cars
then people started talking
about the remains
after the move-outs,
wondered what would happen
to the crystal ball and Japanese flag.
Where to put Mars now?
Whose house next?

The Second Coming of Saladin

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/IE18Ak01.html

Conditions are more than ripe for the advent of a new Saladin - after the Nakhba, the 1967 lightning Israeli victory against the Arabs, the failures of pan-Arabism, the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, the Israeli attack on Lebanon, the limited appeal of Salafi-jihadism, the non-stop stifling of nationalist movements by Western-backed brutal dictatorships/client monarchies.

Iran of course can be very persuasive, holding some tasty cards up its sleeve - such as hard-earned intelligence directly implicating the Saudis in training the Sunni Arab muqawama (resistance) in Iraq on explosive form penetrators (EFPs), which the Pentagon foolishly insists come from Iran. Everyone in Iraq knows it is operatives from "axis of fear" allies Saudi Arabia and Egypt - and also Pakistan - who have provided the Sunni Arab guerrillas in Iraq with technology and training on improvised explosive devices and EFPs.

...I'm leavin' on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again. Oh babe I love to go:

A possible Saudi-Iranian entente would be a classic case of local powers taking the destiny of the region in their own hands. In a parallel register, in southern Beirut - prime Hezbollah territory - there are plenty of banners in front of buildings destroyed by Israel last summer. They read: "The Zionist enemy destroys, the Islamic Republic of Iran builds."

The UN Sounds Blue

There are jackels out
there in the fields,
guarding a hundred ghosts,
dead Roman soldiers
near Saladdin's castle-

-a bat

skirts
through
the early morning air-

The UN makes another patrol
down the thistle-lined

roads of South Lebanon.
The sun will climb over the horizon
one more time to make a small history
where Christ will walk -

sweeping for land mines
in the frost-cracked hills.

The jackal is innocent if we
let her be, leave her to her pups.
Their cry sounds like a herd of goats

-or a hundred frogs

-or dying birds

-a plague of locusts

Bats witness to Rome and Geneva
in the weary eyes of the UN
that hide in jeeps and tanks,

big white tanks-

their blue flag courses in the wind

flappity flap flap flap,

it sounds blue, like blue flappity flap
in the cold southern wind full of jackal.

On our way.

So messed up but you know what?
Not as messed up as Israel which has always been a messed up place for ONE ETHNIC TYPE, imagine America only for the KKK.

You will be tested in your wealth and in yourselves, and you will hear many abusive words from those given the Book before you and from those who associate [others with Me]. But if you are steadfast and guard against evil, that is the most resolute course to take. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 186)

Well yes, I'll say.

You will not find people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having love for anyone who opposes Allah and His Messenger, though they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers or their clan. Allah has inscribed faith upon such people's hearts and will reinforce them with a Spirit from Him. (Surat al-Mujadala; 22)

When they hear worthless talk they turn away from it and say, ‘We have our actions and you have your actions. Peace be upon you. We do not desire the company of the ignorant.' (Surat al-Qasas; 55)

The Simpleton's Guide to Islamic Opinion
(for lack of a better word
(opinion, not Simpleton)):

Hmm. It is interesting to me to read "about the muslims" you know. I am particularly fascinated to read about what a non muslim thinks about a muslim philosophy which is, necessarily still "about the religion" as opposed to being what Islam necessarily is to the individual believer and that would be "their own close reading" of the text (or in the case of the illiterate, their own close "hearing" of the text). In other words, a first hand opinion of the requisite "unbiased reader" (if there is such a thing) and we must all insist that we all are "unbiased" except for that one tiny little part which makes or breaks an opinion (be it that of a scholar or our own) and that would be the orientation of the first bias: Does one actually believe in the possibility of a Creator?

A non muslim who hasn't read the Quran and instead picks up the various ideologies that have been presented along the way by the fallible experts i.e. "muslim philosophers" is not only doomed to never understanding a thing but doomed to extinction. And if there is one thing a person ought to believe in regardless of their other mixed up notions, it is extinction. Evolution cannot be demonstrated (causally or objectively) by anyone: EVER. Extinction on the other hand (a major theme in all sacred texts) is known, demonstrable and inevitable (death of the individual to the race and/or the species).

Allah talks about extinction all the time. He always has but the Simpletons are too "smart" for all of that Jonah in the Belly of a Whale type of thing!

Now there is an interesting and parochial idea: the philosophers who compounded sectarian ideology post sectarianism. The person puts the cart before the horse it seems and cannot extrapolate an independent view when one attempts to "understand" Islam not by reading the Quran itself but by reading "about the Quran" instead from any given opinionator (including yours truly).

So how does one extrapolate an independent view?

By reading the Quran for themself. It is the only way you know. There aren't really any shortcuts.

How does a person know that they've "then" reached an objective conclusion?

They don't.

Good enough for the usual circular arguments surrounding a tale that is as convoluted as it is misrepresented. How is it convoluted?

Well. I guess an analogy might be best to explain this conundrum to the avid "guest" who isn't a guest at all but a nuisance.

A little boy cries wolf. Over and over and over (the convolution of the Armageddonists) and then one day, the wolf actually shows up and eats him.

At what point should a "boy" attempt to equate himself with the parable and try to realize that yes, that really is a wolf and it does have teeth? We know that most of the boys who are told the fable of the Boy Who Cried Wolf do not really believe it is about a wolf nor is it about a boy.

Could the parable then be about the ransom a boy might offer to the wolf should the wolf actually offer a plea bargain at the moment of "no more deals"?

Certainly but you know, the wolf in this case is only a parable until the moment of "no more deals" and at that moment, it would necessarily be, no ransom and no more parables. And the first bias was always known to Allah.

It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. (Qaf, The Glorious Quran).

How close is that then? Pretty damn close. I'd say that the pressure valve which is connected to the Reptilian part of the anatomy is pretty much, CLOSE enough to detect any sort of bias resulting from insanity, global retardation to a simple case of ataxia related to cerebellar degeneration secondary to alcohol abuse. I'd say that just a little pressure on that area of the body is enough to cause syncopy or the "worst case scenario": bradycardia and death. I'm not really sure where the barorecpetor for pride is located but I do believe it is somewhere near the "lying sinning forelock" also known as the Frontal Lobe:

Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?
Let him beware! If he desist not,

We will drag him by the forelock,-
A lying, sinful forelock! (The Clot, The Glorious Quran)

It's all so ipsilateral you know!

"However, in the last fifty years it has been learned that the frontal lobes are concerned with some of the highest mental functions of animals and human beings. "

Yer pulling me leg, right? (And to be fair to Jonah's people (Yunus, pbuh), they would have taken the advice right away but he was a bit of a doubting Thomas type of guy and he ran away from his duty, got tossed overboard by a boatload of "superstitious" types who knew that having a doubting prophet aboard was just really bad juju, swallowed by a rather large species of whale, spit out on the shores of Gicheegoomee, recanted then disseminated and they all lived quite happily ever after as practicing Monotheists in the times of Sodom and Gommorrha).

Absolutely not. I don't pull legs when it comes to ijtihad. I'm as serious as a heart attack. Can't let those experts at Islam for Dummies have all the fun can I?

**I truly feel for some people who are realizing just about now that it is incumbent on them to try to understand this potboiler called "organized religion" and have ended up studying sectarianism prior to studying the Quran itself. In the end however, even if there wasn't such a thing as this "Iraq debacle"...those people wouldn't have picked up a Quran and read it for themselves "then" either because they don't believe in an actual "Creator". Those are they who are following Islam now but unwillingly. Their case was never dependent on any given historical or philosophical external circumstance. It was always dependent on their very own natures as it has always been the case of "faith" throughout time.
For the Babysitter

Jerry Falwell dead.

It seems to be important
and every day a curious signal
goes out, it meanders over
the graves to find a way in there -
to bother the good dead Christians
and bother the unwanted children.

It tenders a response from
the recluse and the maimed.
What matters is when a good woman
like Lupe goes down. She knew
all about the graves and told me so
even though the church never
said a thing about it.
May her time there be silent
and Allah willing, short.

[2.79] Woe, then, to those who write the book with their own hands and then say: This is from Allah, so that they may take for it a small price; therefore woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
Call not to-day for one destruction, but call for many destructions! Say, ‘Is that better or the garden of eternity which was promised to those who fear-which is ever for them a recompense and a retreat? They shall have therein what they please, to dwell therein for aye: that is of thy Lord a promise to be demanded. (The Glorious Qur'an, The Criterion)

The Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) said: the Euphrates reveals the treasures within itself; who ever sees it, he should not take anything from it. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir al-zaman, p. 28)

Soon the river Euphrates will disclose the treasure (the mountain) of gold, so whoever will be present at that time should not take anything of it. (Sahih Bukhari)

We believe in God and what has been sent down to us; what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, and Jacob and the tribes; and what Moses, Jesus, and all the prophets were given by their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them. We are Muslims, submitted to Him" (Qur'an, 3:84).

That's Zionism!

Israeli soldiers murder a woman in cold blood, deny access to ambulances and then proceed to ramsack the family's apartment.

Suicide bombers? I'd do more than blow myself up.

Wolf Blitzer, the young Wolf Blitzer faces off against the soon to be canonized Dr. Norman Finkelstein.

This guy (Blitzer) is still pretending he has no idea what the problem is while simultaneously bullying people day in and day out over their Fundamental Christianity. Wolf Blitzer by the way, is a Jew and as we can see here, a fundamentally based Zionist who not only supports Zionism but admits it is an ideology. A FAILED ideology that has done nothing good for the world AT ALL or the JEWS themselves.

"How many people believe the Soviet Union has the right to occupy Afghanistan?"

Accepted HISTORICAL FACT: The Zionists planted bombs in Synagogues across the Arab world in the '40's to STAMPEDE Jews to their newly declared state and their "pre state" in order to form the precursor of the Mossad known as the Haganah.
