I started to write a nice and scathing report after reading Mr. Longworth's many published poems (mostly online with little in the way of the paper kind on hand) but my computer died. So let me just say, it was a brilliant offering regarding the irony of Fred Longworth as the protagonist in his own play, the play he doesn't know he stars in as a castaway on a deserted island in the South Pacific surrounded by innocuous Tahitian women and Tiki Gods which, he scoffs at too.

I mean the guy isn't even a decent idolater. Oh well. It isn't worth the time to be honest and Longworth is already a thing of the past. That is how much his poetry should affect the reader of poetry, a nanosecond of irritation and then, on to bigger and better things.

Like discussing the Pope. I love talking about the Pope. Problem is, muslims in general miss the point about the Pope and end up sounding ridiculous: Apologize to me!

Nevermind an apology, insist on an action people. Like I said, bring all Catholics home because it is not in the Catholic Doctrine to "fight" in the name of anything, including protecting your property or the property of space (did you know the Catholics invested church money in their own telescope?). Oh well. How it is.

Like I was saying. Longworth versus the Pope. One in the same, both just minor irritations along the way. Both are shooting blanks most of the time. Harmless as Hell.

Oh hahaha, Fred is a Wizard. Man, talk about a Walter Mitty. There you go!

His only existence is as a virtual lifeform. He is a holosimulation of the
original Fred Longworth who got sucked into an epistomological vortex
created by the collision of two poems -- back in 1999. For purposes of this
biography, we will describe Fred Longworth as if the original
flesh-and-blood entity were still among us.

Fred is 53, and has a son, Ryan, 13. He owns a small business called
StereoTech, which repairs audio equipment. Fred hosts two poetry readings,
~~"Poetry, etc."~~ Sunday afternoons at Lestat's Coffee House and a
"reading with no name" at Twiggs Coffee & Tea, the 2nd and 4th Mondays of
every month.

Fred has a B.A. in English Literature from San Diego State University
(1969), an MBA from National University (1990), and a Professional
Certificate in Hazardous Materials Management from the UCSD Extension (1992).

He is a member of the San Diego Chapter of MENSA, and for four years has
been either editor or assistant editor of their local publication
(circulation 700.)

His non-literary hobbies include playing piano (popular music), listening
to mega amounts of music, photography, and hiking. At the age of 43, he
achieved world ranking in the game of Tzullit-Pag, a board game played by
tribes in Northern Mongolia.

He has written for many years, however, only in the last five years has his
passion for writing fiction and poetry taken wing. He currently has fifty
poems, stories and essays published in established journals and magazines,
more than half in hard copy.

He is working on a chapbook, *Insensitive Poems for Barbarians*, which will
be released later this year, or early next year, or perhaps the year after
that, or maybe . . .

He is honored to be counted as one of the New Wizards
