While Radical Ann and I were on the road to the Chiracuahua mountains the other day, we were talking about global warming and she told me about something called the "salt pump" or rather, the thermohaline current of the seas and oceans on earth. So I said, "Yeah, the Quran talks alot about that 'division'." So, as is my usual, I went looking for it. Took only a few seconds to come up with the data. This is called Ayat, or proofs. Just like geometry and logic use proofs, so does Islam. No more miracles, just the ordinary things taken for granted...are miraculous. Will it end global warming?

The Quran and the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) provide a very detailed description of the microscopic development of the human embryo from a mere sperm drop up to the stage of a completely formed human being. It is well known that microscopes were not developed until the sixteenth century AD, and even at that were very crude in design. Zacharias Janssen is credited with having invented the compound microscope in about 1590. With it, remarkable scientific discoveries were made in the 17th and 18th centuries. The Dutch naturalist Anthony van Leeuwenhoek produced lenses powerful enough to prove that many tiny creatures are not spontaneously generated but come from eggs.
Yer kiddin' me! How unbelievable! It is, what got me about Islam.
Before this period, theories on human reproduction ran rampant. Some scientist believed that the menstrual blood itself developed into the fetus. Later on, a new theory was developed wherein the sperm drop was popularly believed to contain a completely developed miniature human (homunculus) which later grew to the size of a baby. The science of embryology as we know it today did not discover many of the detailed aspects of human development which are taken for granted today until only about twenty years ago, or 1973 to be precise.
That homunculus is really wicked isn't it? I think it would be rather useful in a poem.....a creator centered poem. The kind that elludes so many. The crazy data types of poems that know what truth looks like and sing. We need some more of those and less of the 'others'. Say yes to the tyranny called quality because quantity is just an offshoot of understanding.

The darkness in deep seas and oceans is found around a depth of 200 meters and below. At this depth, there is almost no light. Below a dept of 1000 meters there is no light at all. Scientists have only recently discovered that there are internal waves which “occur on density interfaces between layers of different densities.
The internal waves cover the deep waters of seas and oceans because the deep waters have a higher density than the waters above them. Internal waves act like surface waves. They can also break just like surface waves. The human eye cannot see internal waves, but they can be detected by studying temperature or salinity changes at a given location.

And to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.
So....you think those neon fish they have recently discovered might have a "bright idea" or two they could share? Or even those crazy new scorpions they found in a cave in Israel thought to exist for eons without ever a soul knowing of their existence? They are, blind and colorless. Unlike the other diaphonous and neon creatures of the sea which shows evidence of these 'spectral' layers.
